It all began with a video.
Martyn was watching the Zak Brown Band playing and one of the members was playing a beautiful handcrafted guitar.
Martyn knew straight away that he had found his new design project.
Something different, something that sounds, look and feels great.
Something individual, something custom.
Bio
I built my first guitar aged 14. It was a solid body and something I was very proud of at the time. After this, I moved on to an fhole acoustic.
By this time I was working as an apprentice “joiner and cabinetmaker”.
I have had several interests, including the building of cedar strip kayaks and canoes, and making rocking horses. At the same time, however, I never lost the love of guitar building.
I have been making and repairing guitars for the last 30 years.
Now my attentions have been drawn towards custom-made oyster and clam models. Each one different from the last—a piece of art.
